Frozen In Your Tracks

Let’s face it, when life gets lifey, we can get hung up on wanting to figure out the next “right” step. We want THE way forward and can become frozen with the amount of choices before us.
We put pressure on ourselves or even receive the pressure from others to get it figured out. And this doesn’t even include what does God want me to do.
The new year has begun, and we feel the pressure of the “shaming should’s”.
All the “You should’s” and the shame that can go along with it when you don’t feel up to it or don’t know what to do.
You should…
Set some goals
Prioritize my spiritual life
Do _____________ with or for my family
Take better care of myself by __________
Get my finances in better shape
Spend more time _________
Spend less time __________
And the list goes on and on…
Any of these sound familiar? All the responsibilities and pressure to get it “right” can leave us frozen in our tracks sometimes.
Frozen is a real physiological reaction when we are faced with too many decisions, or the fear of failure, or the unknown. Feeling like we have to make the perfect choice.
What if it is not about getting it “right” but instead about taking even the smallest next “Brave Step” forward?
What if there is not one right step? What if it is about embracing the adventure of the unknown, about being faithful with the small things you already know to do? What if it is about listening for God to reveal his heart for you and the steps He would have you take?
God has been talking to Sunny & I about how He wants to make a fresh sound in the earth. This year, we are convinced he wants us to make a fresh sound and take new ground. And we want to do this alongside you!
In this with you,
Tammy
